Clarksville Regional Museum Inc,

_Mission of the Clarksville Regional Museum is operated for
the collection, exhibition, and preservation of items which are historically significant to the past, present, and the future heritage of the Clarksville region. The museum will be committed to preserving the past in order to educate the future by providing opportunities for its youth, its adults and its senior citizens. It will perform and encourage research of this area.

_The Clarksville Regional Museum began July 28, 2005. 15 people attended the first meeting and it was decided that we did want to begin a museum in Clarksville Va.

___We decided that each person would pay $10.00 for dues. That gave us some money to operate. We opened for the Lake Fest Holiday Open House. There were 70 visitors

___The comments we had that first day convinced us we made the right decision.We have had 3 Suppers, 2 Bar-b-ques by the
Bill Bakers Group, 2 Fashion Shows and many Luncheons.

___The Temporary Museum was located at 6933 Hwy 58 and was moved to the Davis House on 8th street and West street. There are 14 rooms and a good size yard in the new location.
